This little guy couldn't boast any more pride or pose any better for my camera. All I could think of was the song in my head "Proud to be an American, thus the title for this magnificent specimen of a special bird titled "PROUD to be a PELICAN!
I love photographing nature when the subject is as interested in looking at me as I am of them. I talk to them and it seems to calm them for a few fleeting moments and certainly makes for a lot more fun...
