Description
FADING MEMORIES by KAREN WILES
Like entering an ancient storybook, Wiles' "Fading Memories" finds mystery in the beautiful walls which remain in Farley Hill National Park in Barbados.
Once the grounds of a rich plantation house, the park is now a picturesque hilltop garden nestled in a forest of mahogany trees. A lush green 17 acre park of natural garden beauty surrounds the remaining walls. The house was reduced to a shell of stone walls by fire and the elements, and the ruins now frame the flowers and palms. Visitors can admire beautiful views of the ocean and rolling palm-covered hills from the top of the hill behind the house.
The park has now become a popular venue for weddings due to the lush green gardens that remain surrounding the hauntingly beautiful ancient walls.
