Description
WINTER SEA SCALLOP by KAREN WILES
Every year the amazing seabirds drop clams and beautiful sea scallops upon the Intra Coastal Waterway docks in the Carolinas. They fly high above, target the dock and make the drop in order to crack the shells open. This enables them to enjoy these tasty morsels, especially in the cold winter months. I love watching this spectacular scenario take place and finding these amazing left over shells on our dock. "Winter Sea Scallop" still had an icy snowfall left behind on this particular morning on the east coast of the fishing community of Hampstead, in North Carolina.
