An irresistible, vividly bold hummingbird at Ladera Resort in St. Lucia surpasses all hummers in her magnificent depth of heavenly color. This striking hummingbird is found on the islands of the Lesser Antilles in the eastern Caribbean. It's natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and open spaces. The hummer shown here can be identified as a female as her beak is curved and the males are straight.
